Why Laser?

Shaving with razors must be done almost daily and can cause skin irritation with razor bumps and nicks on the skin. Waxing removes hair from the root but is painful and must be done every 3 – 4 weeks. Ingrown hairs and skin infections are common after waxing. Depilatory creams work only temporarily and may lead to irritation. In electrolysis, a needle is inserted into individual hair follicles to destroy them one at a time. It is painful, tedious, and only can be used for small area.

Laser hair removal offers a fast and gentle permanent hair reduction. After laser treatments, the skin is soft and smooth. It can be used on all body areas except around the eyes. It can target large areas of hair like the back or small, precise areas like the upper lip.

Each treatment lasts 10 – 30 minutes, depending on the site. It may cause mild discomfort, much like the sensation of a rubber band snapping on skin. Numbing creams can be used to minimize any discomfort.
